Money Pot — Privacy Policy

Money Pot is an iOS app that helps you track personal expenses, income, and net worth. We designed it to keep your financial data private.

What we store

All expense, asset, recurring, and category records are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. The app does not transmit these records to any server we operate.

iCloud sync (opt-in)

If you enable iCloud sync in the app’s Privacy Choices sheet, your records are synchronized to your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. The data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and remains under your Apple ID. Money Pot does not have access to your iCloud-synced data.

AI scanning (opt-in)

When you grant consent and use the camera scanning feature, the captured photo is sent to our AI service provider (OpenAI via AIProxy) solely for the purpose of extracting the receipt or product details. Images are not stored on our servers and are not used for training.

Analytics

The current release of Money Pot does not include third-party analytics.
